MHI Vestas Offshore Wind is a joint venture between Mitsubishi Industries (MHI) and Vestas Wind Systems A/S established in 2014. As an international company with headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark, MHI Vestas Offshore focuses on the design, production, installation and maintenance of offshore wind turbines. MHI Vestas Offshore Wind is market leader in Belgium with 177 offshore wind turbines installed over three Belgian offshore wind farms. The MHI Vestas Service department is responsible for all activities in relation to the operation and maintenance of offshore windfarms and has a high focus on safety, customer satisfaction, business and operational performance. To develop and manage the Service organisation for an offshore windfarm in Oostende, MHI Vestas is looking for a m/f:

Job description


  • As a Service Manager you are responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the assets encompassing HSE, production performance, asset security, operations and maintenance activities, budget control, profit and losses and employee development.
  • You are responsible for the site compliance with MHI Vestas Health, Safety and Environmental Management System.
  • You are in charge of the site recruitment and the development of a team of about 30 FTE’s: supervisors, deputy supervisors, technicians and a service assistant.
  • You are responsable for the profit and loss for the site and you are in charge of the development and implementation of the Site Business Plan and associated Balanced Score Cards.
  • You are ensuring a high customer satisfaction and participate in customer meetings.
  • You ensure that the contractually agreed requirements are achieved and you are responsable for the on-time execution of sheduled services.
  • You are responsable for compiling and delivering board meeting requirements.
  • You will report directly to the Senior Service Manager, Oostende Hub.




  • You are a people manager and you have strong leadership skills.
  • You can rely on minimum 5 years of working experience in an international environment with a technical service focus.
  • You have experience in managing and developing customer relations.
  • You demonstrate an analytical mind set and are able to understand and apply financial key figures.
  • You are able to motivate and coach a team.
  • You have excellent communication skills both verbal and written (English and Dutch).
