Merck employs about 62.000 employees worldwide. In Belgium, MSD employs 550 people, distributed across two sites, Uccle and Woluwe. The site of Uccle focuses on medical research and the sales and marketing of drugs for human use on the Belgian and Luxembourg markets. The site of Woluwe operates at an international level. Its activities include IT management for EMEA countries, implementation of clinical trials (Phase I), processing of clinical trial data, clinical trial audits, internal audits, and registration of our drugs at a European level.
